On-Street Bike Lanes

The City of Burnsville is finalizing a study to identify areas that could accommodate on-street bike lanes. At their Dec. 11, 2018 work session, the City Council direct staff to explore two segments for 2019 pilot projects:

  • River Hills Drive between Cliff Road and Highway 13
  • Lac Lavon Drive between County Road 42 and County Road 46

Public Input

The map below shows survey results collected in October 2018, which helped the City to prioritize routes and bike lane types. The City also held a public open house to collect feedback on Oct. 24.

Additional public engagement opportunities will be planned to discuss the two pilot projects in 2019.

With questions about this project contact Burnsville City Engineer Jen Desrude at 952-895-4544.
