The Minnesota River Quadrant as it currently exists includes industrial uses: quarry, landfill, barge loading facilities, asphalt, and rock crushing. The future plans include industrial redevelopment with the quarry ceasing and a new 320 acre lake. The vision includes commercial, retail, residential and office tower uses. The mixed-use river oriented redevelopment will provide opportunities for: growth in tax base, additional housing, community amenities, public access to river, trails, and parks.
