In Burnsville, it is the responsibility of the property owner to mow any boulevard space adjacent to their property. However, the City has historically mowed “hardship boulevards” (those with difficult access or structures blocking access) adjacent to private property.
In an effort to reduce City mowing costs, and to be fair and equitable to all Burnsville property owners living adjacent to a boulevard, the City will no longer be funding the mowing of boulevards adjacent to any private property beginning in 2020.
The City is seeking feedback from property owners who currently have hardship boulevards on two options to facilitate this change.
