Violation is noted during an inspection or by verifying a public complaint.
Property owner is sent a Notice of Violation letter and generally will have up to 10 days to correct the violation(s).
If the violation is not corrected after the first notice, the property owner must pay a $120 fine and may have up to seven (7) additional days to correct the violation(s).
If the violation is not corrected after the first notice followed by the administrative citation, next steps could include any combination of additional administrative citations and criminal citations, resulting in a mandatory court appearance.
